We want to send our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful Lifestyle community and clients for your patience and support as we navigate the ever-changing impacts of the Coronavirus. With the latest advice from the Australian Government to ban all international travel for the time being, and as we prioritise to return our clients safely back home from overseas, here is how we are managing the COVID-19 virus throughout this unprecedented time:
Be assured that we are working around the clock to keep clients up to date who are either currently travelling, or have travel booked throughout March and April. We are working our way through amendments in a chronological order from date of departure. This means that we are currently prioritising those travelling in March and April and we will be in touch as soon as possible for clients who have travel plans from May, June and July onward. No one will be forgotten or missed as we run a pretty tight ship and deeply care about our wonderful travellers!
As you can imagine, news and updates from airlines, suppliers and officials is changing rapidly so please be patient whilst we work out the best possible option for you. As travel professionals, our job is to continually put you - our clients - first and we are doing everything possible to secure credits and refund options so there is as minimal disruptions to your plans, given the circumstances. Please sit tight before opting to cancel as with nation wide bans, it is common practice for suppliers to issue credits and or refunds where possible. Ultimately, we want to give you all the options and potential scenarios so that you can make the decision that feels best and right for you.
If you are visiting the office, we are practising social distancing and following all hygiene standards so that we can keep ourselves and the community as safe as possible. That means cleaning and wiping down computers and phones, washing hands regularly and ensuring there is a 1.5 metre distance between staff and clients. If you have recently returned home from overseas and need to self-isolate, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help (whether that’s arranging grocery drop-offs or delivering supplies), we’re here for you!
We’re choosing to remain optimistic, action-oriented and community focused whilst we navigate uncharted territory within the travel industry and for many local businesses too. We know it’s a challenging time for all and so we want to keep you updated with as much hope, inspiration and ideas as we rally together to get through, and will share some creative ways to support businesses (like ours) to keep doors open moving forward.
In the meantime, stay tuned for regular updates and stay well!
Leonie and the Lifestyle Travel team.
